![]() ![]() University Fair 2022 for students of Grades 9 to12 and their parents: 245 delegates from Mahim and Powai participate participated in the 5 dynamic committees: UNGA, UNHRC, UNSC, JCC 1, DISEC and JCC 2. In the 175th year of Bombay Scottish School Mahim, we were proud to host the 10th edition of SMUN and that too in offline mode on 29th and 30th August 2022. Scottish Model United Nations Conference (SMUN) 2022 for students of Grades 8 to 12: The School initiated this program keeping in mind the importance of international exposure and an experience in building an overall global perspective between India and Netherlands. This program also included a visit to the Global Vipassana Pagoda and Sanjay Gandhi National Park. The students visited an NGO called Abhyudaya that works for the betterment of underprivileged children. This week-long exchange program involved a heritage walk to explore the city's architecture and heritage monuments, exposure to Indian textiles and dyeing and a cultural fest where students represented different states of India. As a part of our Global Partnership Initiative, the student exchange program was held between Bombay Scottish School, Mahim, Mumbai and Rijnlands Lyceum Oegstgeest, Netherlands bringing together different cultures and traditions across the globe. In our endeavor to create global citizens, Bombay Scottish, Mahim has initiated a student exchange program from 4th to 9th September 2022. A total of 246.5 kg of waste was collected…a small step which will go a long way in sensitizing students towards recycling, reducing waste and conserving environment. This was the first of such an initiative by the members of the Planet 4.0 Club from Grades 7 to 12. In order to bring awareness to the benefits of recycling and protection of our environment, Bombay Scottish School, Mahim teamed up with the NGO Global Green Resonance and held a waste paper collection drive on 16.09.22. Joy of Giving: Students of Grades 3 and 4 organised a donation drive between 12.09.22 and 23.09.22 for the Bombay YMCA Juhu Youth Centre which provides night shelter and day time activities for the rootless and roofless young boys in Mumbai. Dhvani Bhanushali, an Indian pop singer who is the voice behind several soulful songs. ![]() Aman Johri, the CEO of Aerospace and Defense firm based in Mumbai. Vedant Lamba, the founder of Mainstreet Marketplace. Anish Gawande, an LGBTQIA+ activist and Pink List India Rhodes Scholar. The 5 inspiring speakers were: Aastha Shah, a digital content creator and an influencer. The "seventh edition" of this student led event was held online on 17th September 2022. ![]()
